QUALITY ASSURED TIMBER PRODUCTS

The CSI sawmill commercial unit has been operating at Glen Innes Correctional Centre in the Northern Tablelands for over 30 years. It recently received a $4.4 million upgrade to improve its already impressive log sawing capabilities and increase the recovery rate for log processing by an additional 15%. This has increased capacity to be able to process over 400 cubic metres of sawn timber per day. New downstream equipment has been commissioned to produce dried and dressed timber in a cost effective way. In addition to processed timber, the facility at Glen Innes provides pine bark, ground timber and sawdust.
